Subcategories are simply field names/titles under categories that helps to keep everything properly organized on this wiki.Subategories therefore have parents(categories). eg Operating Systems will be a parent of Linux.
Create a new subcategory if what you want to wiki about does not fit into any subcategory listed so far. To start a new subcategory just scroll down to add subcategory and simply type in a new subcategory name and save.
SubCategory names should by convention start with an alphabet, should be *a word* in the dictionary and preferable short,simple and memorable without appending the word "subcategory" at the end.
Optionally SubCategories can be named with two words or more if a word does not do enough justice to the name.You can also create a subcategory with a *slang word* if its the only known word for describing what you want to write about.
